Lheidli T'enneh Broke Ground on their First Gas Bar and Convenience Store

Prince George, BC October 12, 2016 – Lheidli T’enneh has officially broke ground on their first Gas Bar and Convenience Store on Lheidli T’enneh I.R.#2 – Southside across from Administration building (1041 Whenun Road, Prince George). The station will sell exempt gas and tobacco, and the convenience will sell groceries and staple products. The new gas station will not only provide access to exempt gas and tobacco to over 6,000 Status First Nation peoples in Prince George, but also a convenience store for the people living on the reserve. This will also provide employment opportunities for the people living on the reserve.

The construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year and the grand opening will take place in the spring of 2017. This project is supported by funding received from All Nation Trust Company, they provided a grant to complete feasibility study and business plan. They are also providing a considerable contribution towards construction of this project.
